WoW Upgrades - The item level upgrade (visit the next post) Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also increases an unspecified substat.

The more modernized gear generally has a greater value for trade regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or has a high stat variation (like eth titan weapons). Upgrades are less valuable for the latter due to the need to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be made on any type of weapon or armor. However, the item that is used to upgrade will be consumed forever and can't be used again. Upgrades can be applied to the enchantments.

The upgrader is located in all major cities, and can be accessed anytime to upgrade your gear. To keep your gear up-to-date, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every few weeks.

Upgrades will cost more depending on the level of the item, however they'll always be cheaper than buying new equipment. For instance, upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points, while purchasing the same item from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapon, armor, tool and accessory upgrades. They can be bought by players through NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for various currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor. The button will show the item's next upgrade level, in the event that there are enough materials.

Upgrade costs vary depending on the slot of the item and the current level of the item. For instance, weapons will cost more than bracers, or gloves. Each step costs 15 Flightstones and a number of crests, with some upgrades having a discount to lower the cost of Flightstones or the crests used. Once an item upgrader has been upgraded to a certain amount it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.

Item upgraders can be found in a variety of locations, including the main island, as well as a few outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount and the chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases according to the number of items that are being upgraded, and can be increased by having players complete specific achievements or complete quests.

Crests

Players have a number of options for upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an item that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specific and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are a key element of the Dragonflight gear progression system, which was introduced in 10.1, and come in four ranks.

First, you should know that Crests are only available to equipment with a certain rank. Each rank comes with a different upgrade path. This change is intended to allow players to upgrade their equipment up to the highest level possible on all their characters rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.

It's also important to use crests with care, since they have only one purpose. It is recommended to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the top-quality equipment you can find and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next set of upgrades. This is especially applicable to rings and trinkets that fill multiple slots on the character which will only be able to avail the discount for all accounts when all of the slots are filled with top-quality gear.
