Best Lightweight Single Stroller

Travel strollers aren't much smaller or lighter than this. Its sleek design makes it easy to fold into a stylish rectangle shape, and the wheels are a lot easier to turn than other styles.

The stroller also has an enormous storage area underneath the seat as well as an adjustable shoulder strap that makes it easier to carry when you're not pushing it. However, the canopy adjustment can cause lots of noise which might disturb a sleeping toddler.

1. Contours Itsy

The Contours Itsy is a compact stroller that offers many features for its size. The back under-seat basket features a spring-loaded mechanism, allowing you to push the basket down to store a backpack or diaper bag and it will then pop up to secure its contents. It also comes with a child accessory tray and adjustable back pad that reclines, which are more options than what you usually get on a stroller that is light.

Additionally, the handlebar is adjustable in height four positions for a comfortable fit. We weren't too impressed with the quality of its ride over rough terrain. We felt the wheels and suspension didn't do a very good job of absorbing bumps and shocks.

This is a great choice for those who are looking for a stroller that is light and easy to carry. It comes with all the features parents would want in a stroller. This includes all-terrain wheels and front suspension for a smooth ride. It's also extremely light at less than 12 pounds. It can be folded with one hand and stands up on its own. It even has an adult tray and a child tray and two cup holders.

Its quality is not very good, and it didn't do well in our test of maneuverability. It also has a flexible frame which makes pushing it over rough surfaces seem like lifting a huge weight. This might be fine for those who only use the stroller on paved sidewalks, but for most people, it will likely not be comfortable.

The Cloud Plus features a three-tiered extended canopy with a peek-aboo window for additional sun protection. Its multi-positional seat can accommodate children up to 50 pounds and uses a five-point safety restraint. This is a great option for older toddlers who have outgrown their infant car seats.

It comes with a single-step and compact folding mechanism that can be collapsed with only a click of a button. It also comes with a brake that is triggered by the foot and easy to set and release.

The handle is lower than most of the strollers we have tested however some parents may feel uncomfortable using it for long periods of time. The handle locks in position when it's opened. This is a good feature to have in case you are planning to use the stroller on uneven or gravelly terrain.

3. Munchkin Sparrow

The Munchkin Sparrow stroller is the perfect travel stroller for parents who are constantly moving. The compact stroller folds down and up easily and can be tucked away in the overhead compartments of planes, or trunks in amusement parks (no need to worry about parking charges). It also comes with an easy-zip carrying bag for easy storage. It can be used with the infant car adapter right from birth and offers good sun protection thanks to its canopy. The only issue is that some parents consider the design to be a bit utilitarian and expensive.

The BabyZen Yoyo+ stroller is more expensive than other lightweight single stroller cheap strollers. However, it was specifically designed for urban living and luxe travel. It's among the smallest strollers to fold (and comes with a handy carry case), and it comes with plenty of storage space, including a cup holder. The seat reclines to almost flat for both children and adult. This is the only stroller on our list that can be used with infants using the car seat adapter. The handlebar is not adjustable and could be an issue for parents who are small.

The UPPAbaby Minu V2 may not be the lightest stroller, but it is packed with amazing features that help children travel more easily. The spacious seat reclines into an upright position and comes with additional padding to make those airplane napping sessions more comfortable. The canopy that can be extended has a lot of sun coverage, and the parent tray offers a good amount of storage. It also features a spring-loaded footrest that doubles as a handle when it's folded. This footrest, however, is prone to damage by baggage handlers.

4. Uppababy Mini V2

Uppababy Minu V2 is a stylish stroller with a top-quality design and high-end. Its compact design makes it easy to navigate through narrow streets and tight spaces, but its sturdy construction allows it to handle rough terrain without compromising comfort of your child. The spring-action suspension in the front and rear makes for an even more comfortable ride and its durable materials ensure that it will withstand everyday wear and tear. It can also be expanded to accommodate other accessories such as a bassinet and infant car seat.

In our tests during our testing, the Minu was a breeze to fold and maneuver even with a child in hand. Its squat almost square fold which unfolds into thirds, is one of the most simple folds we've seen and allows it to fit in overhead compartments on planes or public transportation. It has a single-action color-coded brake that is easy to use.

The seat reclines in a variety of positions and the leg rest can be adjusted using one hand, making it simple to find your child's ideal position. The UPF 50+ hood slid down quite a ways and was perfect for shielding Cora's eyes from sun (though not as low as other strollers). There is also a medium-sized mesh peek-a-boo window which closes magnetically, and is glued to the canopy instead of using noisy Velcro.

5. Joovy Aire

Joovy is a well-known brand that produces various strollers. This light-weight model is a good option for parents who want an all-purpose stroller that can carry kids around, offers ample storage, is easy to move around and doesn't require a high engineering degree to fold. This model is not suitable for those looking for an extra stroller or a car seat compatible model. It won't work with infant car seats, and your children must be able to sit up on their own before they can use this stroller from the beginning.

This stroller is packed with features and comes at a reasonable price. It scored a higher rating in our maneuverability review than some other models with similar specs, and is a great option for smooth surfaces. It also comes with a great canopy and plenty of storage including a large tray for parents. The front wheel suspension is stiff and the handlebar is a bit smaller than normal, however it provides a comfortable ride for adults.

If you have twins or two kids of different ages, you could discover that a stroller with a side-byside feature is the best way to move them around. Our favorite is the Joovy Twin Groove, which has a variety of features, and has a slim footprint that can be used where most other side-by-side alternatives won't.
