Line-up

Turn Back, the band's third studio album is an ode to the classic sextet structure and an even more consistent and powerful effort with a harder edge. The edgier sound of Turn Back reflected the growth of the band. The drummer Bobby Kimball's increasing virtuosity was reflected by the vocals of Joseph Williams, who had become more confident and mature. David Paich's keyboard skills were also sharper, more complex and less akin to previous efforts.

After touring to promote the album, the group recorded a live show in Amsterdam that was released as a two-CD set entitled Falling In Between Live on Eagle Records.
