If you're on a budget and don't want a stroller that doubles into a car seat carrier The Babyzen Yoyo is a good choice. It has a simple, one-step foot brake that's flip-flop user-friendly.

It's also a breeze to push and feels solid when navigating kerbs or woodland pathways. Plus, it's a dream to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has built a reputation as the ultimate lightweight buggy for city dwellers and jet-setters alike, due to its super nimble manoeuvrability and fold that fits in the overhead luggage of aeroplanes. The most recent version comes with independent suspension on all 4 wheels constructed of Hytrel elastomer, which allows it to effortlessly navigate all terrains and types'.

The YOYO2 frame base along with the curved fabric bassinet and six-month color pack combine to make a stylish and elegant pushchair that's easy to look at with a subtle yet elegant design and stylish branding. The frame's weight alone is less than a kilo and is so light that you can easily lift it from the box (and do it with one hand).

The hood, for instance is able to snap onto the YOYO2 with a reassuring manner. It is also machine washable at 30 degrees which helps prevent stains caused by smushed rice cakes and carrot puffs. It can be used as a pram from birth with the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted into stroller at 6 months by clicking on the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great option for parents who want an adaptable stroller wagon. It can be converted from a stroller into a wagon by simply flipping the handle, which means parents can choose the option they want to use on their adventure. The wagon can accommodate one or two children from 6 months to 5 years old. It has a large storage basket that can accommodate all your necessities while on the go.

The Xplore has dual canopies which are able to rotate from front to back, ensuring adequate sun protection for all family members. It has a smaller footwell than other wagons. This might not be suitable for long trips or napping.

The frame of the Xplore wagon feels solid and sturdy but it doesn't bend as much as some other wagons we have test. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold and it isn't able to lock securely once folded. It is easy to maneuver however, and it is able to fit through narrow 28 inches doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great option for parents who are looking for a secondary stroller that's priced reasonably. It scored well in our Strollers and Multiples Test for weight and fold dimensions, which means it's lightweight and compact when folded and easy to carry and put in a trunk for your car. It also has a multi-position reclining seat and a cup holder for the parent. Other features of note include 360-degree shock absorbing front wheels and two large hanging storage bags.

In our test of the push and turn it performed better than the majority of other strollers that we test, but it's not the most maneuverable on uneven ground or through narrow doors. The sunshades on it were among the smallest of all strollers we test. They only cover the top of the stroller and don't have windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a much larger canopy.

The Delta took us just over three minutes to put together with an average manual and no components required tools. It is missing certain features we believe are essential for double strollers. This includes an extra-large basket, reclining seats and leg rests that can be adjusted.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's newest pushchair that is advertised as an urban travel system. It is designed to accommodate baby from birth up to approximately 3.5 years old, and can be converted between a carrycot and seat with a few clicks. It can also be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats, and comes with the light Mico 30 infant car seat, stay-in-car base and a reversible baby carriage.

The seat can be reclined with one hand, and the large shopping basket makes it easy for parents to help their child in and out. This narrow pushchair handled all day bumps and doorways with ease.

The front wheels can be locked into forward positions or let them swivel which can be helpful when crossing rough terrain. We let the front wheels to swivel during our walk on the stony path. It was able to handle this well, even though it felt a little bumpier.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is known for their 3-wheeler, all-terrain pushchairs for jogging, but they also have a wide assortment of strollers with four wheels. City Tour 2 is their most well-known model. It is simple to use and folds down small enough to fit in a car boot even with the carrycot attached.

It's a little heavier than other strollers that we tried, but the wheels are a rubber composite so it feels well-made and sturdy. It's a breeze to maneuver across all types of terrain and it's easy to move even with two kids and a shopping bag.

Both the seat and the carrycot come with hoods that can be lowered to reveal a UV50and sun canopy extension. They are strong and waterproof, unlike other hoods for prams, which can be blown back onto toddlers faces.

It doesn't have a lot of storage space, but it does come with a huge basket that's big enough to hold an infant's changing bag and plenty of food items. You can also pair it with the Baby Jogger car seat for infants that weigh up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters are sold separately). If you are looking for a stroller that can be used on the road, the City Tour 2 is an excellent choice.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

When the Nuna Mixx first came onto the scene, it stole the hearts of parents across the world. It's an aluminium framed stroller that will see you through your baby's first years and beyond. It has many standout features, like the ability of the seat to flip between the front facing parent and the outside and a huge UPF50+ canopy, an eye-shade that flips out, as well as an adjustable handlebar.

The chassis is equipped with a suspension system built-in that helps reduce the impact of bumpy terrain. The wheels are made of tough foam and reduce punctures. It was simple to push and our tester was able manoeuvre the vehicle through the narrow streets.

The Duet is a stroller with an angled design that can accommodate twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seats and can be used with carrycots. In twin-mode, the seats can face one another or turn around and face parents, theoretically reducing sibling fights over who sits with dad and mom. It comes with a large bottle holder, a gear tray snack tray, and an adjustable mat. It also comes with a compact stand fold and automatic frame lock.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.

The Thule Urban glide 2 is the perfect jogger for parents who love to be active. It's one of the lightest running strollers you can buy for your child. It also comes with great safety features like a 5-point harness and safety wrist strap. It also comes with an innovative twist hand brake that's distinct from the lever-type found on competing models.

The seat is well-padded and offers a large area to sit, but the depth of the seat is not as deep as other joggers we've tested (it's about 10"). The storage bin comes with a zippered cover to help keep things secure. It can hold 10 lbs. It is enough for most diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 isn't compatible with bassinets for infants or car seats in the way it is, however you can use it right from the start with the purchase of adapters to most seats from brands such as BOB, Graco, Combi, Evenflo, Britax, and UPPAbaby. It folds up compactly and takes between 5 and 10 minutes to assemble with no tools. The instruction manual is easy to read and contains a variety of languages.
